ADDITIONAL NOTES ABOUT DRESS CODE:
Circle K Club T-Shirt for Opening Session if your club has one, otherwise casual. Wearing any CKI T-Shirt you have would be great!
People probably will wear their Semi-Formal Dinner clothes to the Dance, but if you wish, you may change back into Casual wear before-hand.
OFFICES AVAILABLE FOR ELECTION:
Governor, Secretary, Treasurer, Editor, 5 Lieutenant Governors (one in each division) and endorsement for International Offices (President, Secretary, Trustee)
If you wish to run for an office, you must read through and sign a Service Agreement. Click here to be taken to the page where you may download your office's form.
Candidates have the option to "drop down" to run for another office during the House of Delegates should they fail to win the office they were originally seeking.
It is advantageous, but not required, to be endorsed by your club when running for an office. This is done usually during club elections.
OTHER IMPORTANT STUFF:
Each club in good standing in attendance is encouraged to have 2 members serve in the House of Delegates.
There are many awards clubs and individuals can compete for at the convention, ranging from service awards to oratorical and impromptu essay contests. There is also a Talent Show Saturday Afternoon. The entry forms for club awards should have arrived at all clubs by now, and those for talent, impromptu essay, and oratorical contests will be made available during District Convention..
A medical and a code of conduct form are required at registration, and will be strictly enforced. These are available online right now under conventions.
If you need anything other than a CD boombox for your talent show act, you'll have to provide it yourself.
E-Mail Steven Yates at yall2003@yahoo.com if you have any questions about District Convention 2003.
